  1. The Venus Morris Griffin Scholarship Fund, Inc. Deadline: February 15, 2023

  • You MUST be a High School Senior in the United States

  • You MUST have a biological parent that is currently incarcerated

  • Students that are adopted and in foster care that meet all terms and conditions are encouraged to apply

  • You MUST prove acceptance into either an institution of higher learning or a trades program, by March 2023 – Payment shall be made directly to the institution

  • Only one (1) entry letter is allowed per person/household explaining how having an incarcerated parent has impacted your life

  • Winners will be notified by email, posted on vmgfoundation.org and announced in March 2023.

Scholarship for Massachusetts homeless high school graduates (recent -June 2021-Dec 2021)

Available Contests for 2021-2022


  • There are five (5) Moving to College Scholarships available for unaccompanied/homeless youth to begin their college education January 2022.

    1. To be eligible, the student must be a recent high school graduate (June 2021-December 2021) or recent HiSET graduate between June 2021-December 2021.

Moving to College Housing Scholarships are available at either of the Regional Partner Institutions:

  • Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts/Berkshire Community College

OR

  • Fitchburg State University/Mount Wachusetts Community College
