Dear Weld Central Middle School Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your new principal/lead-learner of Weld Central Middle School. I am thrilled and honored to have been selected to join an amazing school and community. I am equally looking forward to meeting each of you in the near future. A positive, meaningful relationship with you, your students, and our staff is paramount to me. I am eager to get to know you and learn about those things that you hold most dear.

A few things to know about me personally…

I am a Colorado native from Hotchkiss and love living here in the most beautiful place in the world. I have been married to my wife, Angelique McMillan, for almost sixteen years. We have a wonderful twelve-year-old daughter, Emily, and a wild (and wonderful) nine-year-old son, Chase. Some of my favorite pastimes include being up in the mountains, hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. I love going to concerts and listening to music. While I enjoy all types of music, my favorite musicians are Cody Jinks and George Strait. I have worked a mile below ground, a mile above ground, and a mile across the ground (Coal Mining, Air Force, and Ranching). I believe that being with family is the most important thing in the world. Here is a collage of my story. I can’t wait to share it with you and learn your story as well.

Professionally…

This will be my 14th year as a principal (Full Resume). The best part of leading a school is building positive relationships with staff, students, and parents. I believe we need to creatively, courageously, and collaboratively take on new learning and improve each day for the success of our Weld Central Middle School community. We are the champions for all students and should expect excellence from students and ourselves.

Together, we will continue to create a school that cares deeply about every student and extends that caring to families and the community around us. We will care more than others think is wise, dream more than others think is practical, and expect more than others think is possible. Every Student, Every Day, Whatever It Takes!

Parent/School/Teacher Partnership…

I am very excited to begin Weld Central Middle School’s next chapter with you. Together, we will cultivate a community of learners by behaving in a kind, caring, honest and compassionate manner in order to challenge and inspire each member of our school community to be more and do more than they thought possible.

Go Rebels,

Justin McMillan
