Peanut Aware School
BW is a peanut aware school. Please consider peanut and tree nut alternatives when planning lunches and snacks.
PBL: Planet Kepler 186-f
We are currently working on a PBL that will finish up sometime at the end of May. We will send communication out when we have confirmed a parent celebration day.
We will be doing a walking field trip in the afternoon of May 1st to the wetland by Safety City. Please make sure you have your walking field trip form in (this was sent home in August/September). If you are new, please check with Mrs. Anderson at the office. We are looking for parents to come walk with us and lead a group around the pond. Email ashley.phillips@rdpsd.ab.ca if you are interested.
Students will need:
2L pop bottle by April 29th
Large piece of cardboard has been donated to us! Yay! (dimensions will be sent home in the future stay tuned to the website) - We are looking for volunteers to help with measuring and cutting out the plots of land students will be getting with their cardboard.
Optional: Trifold - We will lend students a trifold for the PBL, but they will not get to keep it. If they wish to keep it please send a Trifold in by May 3rd. We will need parents to help us wrap remaining trifolds with paper so we can reuse them next year.
Donated items: If you have old soil, charcoal, seeds, moss, plasticine, craft items (making miniature plants). Feel free to send them into school as we will put them to great use!
Bikes and Scooters
As we move into the warmer months, many of our students are enjoying biking and scootering to school. Students must wear a helmet when riding their bike or scooter.
