What is One Book One School?

Imagine 250 families reading one book simultaneously. Bringing families together along with our school community through literature helps build strong bonds connecting families to schools. We will all come together, with our local celebrities, reading a couple chapters at a time to build our reading skills and family ties. Students enjoy having a chance to share their thoughts about the book with friends and the weekly questions get them excited for prizes. Our families cherish these new books and students take pride in sharing this experience at home.

What To Do:
Every family will receive a copy of A Boy Called BAT by Elana K. Arnold as well as a welcome letter, calendar and questions. We ask that you stay on the schedule so the entire school is reading together. You may choose to click on the blue link in our calendar to listen or watch a local celebrity or school family member read the assigned chapter. Have your children answer the weekly questions and bring their answers to Mrs. Fox in the Learning Commons for a prize:) Following our book, we will have an amazing virtual presentation by Medicine River Wildlife in our classrooms where they will introduce us to ....., the skunk, and .....,the owl.
