Silent Retreat
April 10-12
April 10-12
Mother Teresa once said, “The fruit of Silence is Prayer.” For this reason we are offering a silent retreat for High School students who want to spend some real time in prayer, April 10-12, 2026.
The retreat will be held at Pioneer Ranch Camp, a beautiful, winterized Christian summer camp on Crimson Lake. More information on the camp can be found at https://www.pioneercampalberta.ca/.
The program will include some social and fun time at the beginning and the end, but from Saturday morning until Sunday Lunch time there will be 25 hours of silence. No talking, no technology, no homework. Each student will be provided with Christian books as well as a journal for reflections. Students may also choose to bring things like sketching materials or knitting to occupy the time. There will be some programming during the silent time, and the retreat center has beautiful walking trails which students will be free to explore.
The program will be provided by Peter van Kampen and Larissa Mitchel
To register for this event, please fill in the permission form by Mar 29, 2026.
