General Information
Monroe athletics offers opportunities for students to participate in competitive sports at the modified, junior varsity and varsity levels. We believe that interscholastic athletics provides education based experiences that will develop skills to excel in the classroom, playing field/court and life after graduation. Some of these skills taught include; commitment, dedication, accountability, teamwork, sportsmanship and citizenship. We expect all student-athletes to represent their school, community and selves positively as a member of our athletics program. Additional information regarding our District wide interscholastic athletics program can be found on the RCSD District Website (Health, PE & Athletics). Monroe athletics participates as a member of the RCAC League, Section V and NYSPHSAA.

Winter 2023-24 Sports (First Day HS: Nov. 13, Mod 1: Oct. 30, Mod 2: Jan. 2)
Sports Offered: Mod. B (Mod 2), JV & Varsity Boys Basketball, Mod. B (Mod 1) & V Girls Basketball), Varsity Boys & Girls Indoor Track/Field, Varsity Competition Cheer, Varsity Boys & Girls Bowling, Mod. B & Varsity Wrestling (hosted at East), Varsity Swimming (hosted at #58 School)
Spring 2024 Sports (First Day HS: March 11, Mod: March 25)

Athletics Registration
All student-athletes interested in trying out for a sport must register through the Family ID platform no later than the Friday prior to the first official day of each season. This needs to be done for each sport you want to try out for. Physical exam forms can be turned into the health office or uploaded to your Family ID (exams must be dated within 1 year of the season start date, ex 8/1/23 or later for fall 2023 season)
Approved: Your registration is completed along with your updated physical is uploaded into your registration and you are cleared for participation.
Not Approved: Your registration is incomplete and you may not participate until it has been Approved. You need to fix an issue with your registration, contact the school health office (nurse) and/or Family ID for assistance.
No Status: Your registration has not been reviewed yet. We will get to it as soon as possible.
