Getting Daily Exercise

Getting daily exercise is very important to your overall health. Keeping your body strong by exercising daily helps to fight off the things that can make you sick. This is why the people that are more active are less likely to get sick. Did you know that participating in regular activity can help you to concentrate better in school. This is not because you used all of your energy to run around, but because you ran around your brain was activated so you are better able to focus. Exercise can also make you feel better when you are sad or angry. Think of it as your body’s way of thanking your brain for deciding to treat it well.

Right now we have PE 2 days a week for 45 minutes each. We do this so you guys can get that daily movement you need. But do you think you can still exercise on your own? Of course! Children so be getting outside and playing for at least 60 minutes per day!

Living Healthy

Physical Education is not just about moving our bodies. It’s about WELLNESS and making healthy choices. In Physical Education you will also learn about healthy eating habits, how to interact with other people, decision making skills, goal setting, and how to talk to others about living a healthy lifestyle.
