Purpose

The Autism Support Team was created to assist individual child-specific building teams in addressing the unique educational needs of students with autism spectrum disorders. The team goal is to provide short term support to building teams to help them provide for the ongoing, daily needs of the children they serve. Supports offered may include on-site observations and consultations, in-service training for staff, provision of resources (e.g. visual supports, trainings, modeling techniques, etc.), IEP writing assistance.

Providing building teams with up to date best practice resources so that all staff involved in the education of students with ASD feel knowledgeable, supported and resilient.

Mission

Increasing the knowledge, skills and passion of educational teams working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders through collaboration, training and technical assistance, supported by evidence based practices.
