Moodle Dashboard Overview
Keeping Track of Assignments & Due Dates
The Forum activity allows students and teachers to exchange ideas by posting comments as part of a 'thread'. Files such as images and media maybe included in forum posts. The teacher can choose to grade and/or rate forum posts and it is also possible to give students permission to rate each others' posts.
The Assignment activity allows students to submit work to their teacher for grading. Types of assignments include online text, file submissions, and audio & video creation.
The Lesson activity allows teachers to create 'branching' exercises where students are presented with content and then, depending on their responses, are directed to specific pages. The content may be text or multimedia.
The Quiz activity allows teachers to have students complete and score quizzes online. Questions types include multiple choice, true/false, short answer, essay, and matching.
The Book resource contains multi-page resources with a book-like format and includes a clickable Table of Contents.
A Page resource creates a link to a screen that displays the content created by the teacher. The Text editor allows the page to display many different kinds of content such as plain text, images, audio, video, embedded code or a combination of all these.
The folder is a resource that enables a teacher to display a number of related files inside a single folder, reducing scrolling on the course page.
The Feedback activity allows teachers to create and conduct surveys to collect feedback.
