If You Give Humanity an Earth,
They’ll want something to do.
When they want something to do,
They’ll start to explore the world.
When they start to explore the world,
They’ll be scared of everything.
When they’re scared of everything,
They’ll look for a distraction.
When they look for a distraction,
They’ll name everything.
When they name everything,
They feel like they have power.
When they feel like they have power,
They begin to forget their fear.
When they begin to forget their fear
They think that they can do anything
When they think they can do anything
They’ll cut down too many trees to build a home
When they build themselves a home
They’ll need company
When they need company
They’ll search the world for someone
When they meet someone special
They’ll won’t care about consent
When they don’t care for consent
Their relationship will be toxic
When their relationship is toxic
Their children will think the same
When their children thinks the same
They’ll teach and live that way of life
When they teach and live that way
They’ll grow to be more selfish
When they grow more selfish
They’ll label what’s theirs and not
When they label what’s theirs and not
The others will do the same.
When the others do the same,
They’ll discover they want what’s not theirs.
When the want what’s not theirs,
They’ll take what they please.
When the take what they please,
They’ll be upset when the same is done to them.
When they’re upset at what was done to them,
They’ll establish trade to create order,
When the order is established,
They’ll want to have more power.
When they to have more power,
They’ll discriminate against those different from them
When they discriminate against those different from them
They’ll have created disorder and inequality
When the discriminated discover they're not equal
They’ll retaliate.
When they retaliate,
The powerful will panic.
When the powerful panic,
The discriminated will be pushed farther down.
When the discriminated are pushed farther down,
The fighting will continue.
When the fighting continues,
They’ll forget all the other problems.
When they forget the other problems,
The other problems will get worse.
When the problems all get worse,
They’ll have finished running the earth into ruins.
When they finish running the earth into ruins,
They’ll have no place to call home.
When they have to place to call home,
They’ll look for a new one,
And then it starts all over again.
