Inculcating Moral Values
Moral Values such as kindness, humility, compassion, honesty, integrity, truthfulness, helpfulness, love, respectfulness, hard-work, etc. are considered worthy in building up the character of an individual.
Moral Values need to be inculcated in children as they form the core of their being and become a foundation of their moral beliefs.
At RBK School, Moral Values are incorporated with education to ensure that, students not only have the knowledge and skills needed to work and succeed, but also the compassion and emotional wherewithal to be a part of a safe, peaceful, and cooperative society.
Grade 9 C students narrated stories with Moral Values to convey the message that Moral Values are essential to lead a disciplined life.

SCAVENGER HUNT!
An activity was assigned on the seesaw platform, wherein the students of Grade 1 had to perform a scavenger hunt by clicking different pictures that show the uses of our sensory organs. Students uploaded many interesting pictures which stated that they truly understood the concept.
As it is said ‘Plant a Tree, Plant a New LIFE’, keeping this mind students of Grade 3 were given a Seesaw activity from the lesson “Plants in our Surroundings”.
They were asked to identify the type of roots (Taproot and Fibrous root) and were also made to write two examples for each type of root.
Our talented learners of Grade 4 made beautiful compositions of 2D Design on paper with oil pastels, as guided by their respective educators.
Learners enjoyed every moment of composing the design elements in the form of shapes, natural forms and human forms. It was a wonderful experience for them as they were doing the composition for the first time.
LETS MAKE ACADEMICS INTERESTING
Since students spend a lot of time at home, a lot of parents felt the need to learn and understand ways and means to keep learners engaged to overcome boredom and simultaneously enhance their abilities in honing skills to be competent to face the challenges of today’s world.
To satisfy this need our Special Educator Ms. Linet Dabre and counsellors Ms. Poorva Shingre and Ms. Rinku Upadhyay conducted a workshop on 17 July, 2021 at 10:30 am for the parents of Grade-5. The speaker was Ms. Linet Dabre who imparted knowledge on, ‘LETS MAKE ACADEMICS INTERESTING’. The participants’ understanding of ‘Attention and Concentration’ was enhanced and they were enabled to differentiate between the two. The Concentration Span of a learner was clearly spelt out, factors that affect attention were clearly cited and activities, tips, games, food and exercises to enhance memory and concentration which are simple and practical were imparted.
The parents did enjoy the session and participated actively and enthusiastically in the activities conducted.
Zombies Everywhere
Steve was walking to his school. He had a sister named Carol. Carol’s time to go to school was half an hour later from Steve’s. Steve met his friends and they were talking about how the sky appeared to be. One of his friend named Natasha said “See the sky. How it appears to be today”. It was true. The sky was slightly green in colour and the Sun, too was of the same colour. Then Tony said “Since morning it has been like that. Some feel that the oxygen level is reducing in the atmosphere”.
When the school was over and both, Carol and Steve were leaving the school they saw that the bats are flying here and there. The crows, pigeons and sparrows have disappeared. “It looks like a horror movie,” said Carol. Suddenly they heard their teacher screaming. They rushed to the staff room and saw an evil witch. She was wearing a green – coloured short sleeved top and a skirt that was matching. She had a crown on her head that was deep green. “I am Enchantress. A very experienced woman in magic and spell. I am here to rule over you all, humans! With my armies of zombies, you will not last long!”, she said. Enchantress touched the teacher’s body and in an instant the teacher became a green coloured zombie!
Steve and Carol were standing behind the wall. Enchantress saw a shadow. It was Carol’s shadow. They both were shivering with fear as it was their end. Steve saw that a binary power was emitting from Carol’s hand. But she was just looking at Enchantress without even realizing it. “Carol! See your hand! See it!” said Steve. Hearing the cry, Enchantress turned to see who was interfering between her work. Carol saw the power and she used them at Enchantress. It immobilized her. But the zombies were still alive. Carol and Steve were attacked by zombies. “Enchantress is dead. Then why are the zombies still alive?” asked Steve, puzzled and tired.
“I cannot say anything except that Enchantresses’ spell is there” replied Carol. Splash! The window opened and all the zombies of the town came in. “More zombies!” exclaimed Steve. Now Carol was angry. Her power became more stronger and a binary blast took place. It was bad for the zombies instead of the school and the town. The zombies started melting. Slowly all the zombies of the town died.
This was an unexpected adventure for Carol and Steve. But they both, now, were famous and were known as ‘Little Superheroes’.
