The students have creatively reflected on their investigation and learning about the beach. They created a poster on the beach and could also identify and draw living and non- living things at the beach. They used sensory trays like sand, rice and semolina to trace the letters and enhance their pre-writing skills.

For this week’s curious club, Learners first brainstormed with teacher different names for food items and the teacher wrote it down on the live board. Later learners used letter manipulatives/letter cards to construct these names.

Curious explorer sessions are the most awaited one for the learners as they are always very excited to experiment and learn new things through the wonderful activities. This week they carried out an activity called ‘Rock washing’ where they used soap water to wash the rocks and later expressed their observation on it. Learners also carried out the ‘Food with seeds/Food without seed’ activity where they cut fruits to examine how many seeds it had and carried out the same with vegetables. Later they showed the difference on a chart, where they wrote the names of the fruits or drew fruits/vegetables with seeds and those without seeds.

K2 B learners observed few fruits that were available in their house and recorded their observations on the different sizes of seeds in each fruit.

This week for Curious club learners washed the rocks and lego blocks. They first observed the rocks before the wash and said that their rocks were 'dirty and rough, but after washing them they are clean and smooth'. In the next session, the learners put the rocks in different size containers and observed the different sounds from each container. They even tried playing their favourite song using the containers as their musical instruments.
