2024 just started but there are already great movies out and being planned. There are great horror movies out or almost here but the top 5 are Night Swim, Imaginary, The Watcher, There is a Monster, and Lisa Frankenstein.
Night Swim came out on January 5th and has lots of views. It is mostly about an entity that is in the water while trying to dispose of Ray Waller, his wife, and his two children. At some point, Ray becomes possessed and attacks his family but ends up sacrificing himself to the pool monster to save his family, after that his family fills the pool with dirt so the monster can not take another victim. A movie that is very well talked about right now is Imaginary, a movie about imaginary friends, with a twist.It is coming out March 8th and it starts with a girl named Jessica moving back into her childhood room, her youngest step-daughter weirdly becoming best friends with a new bear she found. The bear's name was Chancey, and Jessica saw that the bear was making her sister act differently. The trailer includes a lot of clues of different parts of what is happening in the movie. The Watchers is another movie that is not out yet, it is supposed to come out June 14th of this year. The trailer shows a girl named Mina in a room with a mirror and ends up in a forest, where she finds herself being stalked by some odd creature every night. It is classified as supernatural horror and sounds very exciting. There is a Monster that came out on the 30th of January this year and it is about a man named Jack, who is a photographer and is being haunted by something he believes to be a “monster”. It keeps appearing in his eyes but no one else can see it.
Lisa Frankenstein is a movie set up in the late 1900’s where a lonely teenage girl is in love with a dead man. She brings him back to life and to fix him, they work together to kill people and use their body parts. “It is a great movie that came out for valentines day. “It sounds very interesting and entertaining,” said Cambrie Narey, a six grade student.
Those were the top five horror movies of 2024 so far!. These five great movies were a great start for the year and there are definitely more to come.
