Germany has said That they will be giving Ucrane leopard to tanks on January 25 Germany has and other countries have also said they will be giving some to Ukraine. One major problem is when each country buys one of these tanks they have to sign a form saying that they will not give it to another country without Germany's permission and that's what Germany just did they gave them the go ahead to give them to Ukraine. These tanks are super powerful and cost a lot of money, they cost about $6 million to make one
as being used by the German military, Leopard 2 has been really popular in Europe, with a lot of countries using the tank, other countries including Canada. Several of these countries have shown that they want to give Ukraine their Leopard 2 tanks but have not been able to do because to export rules in their original purchase agreement(s) with Germany.Ā Ā
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, was talking to parliament last Wednesday about the length of time it took germany to reach the decision.Ā "Ladies and gentleman, that is the right principle. We are dealing with very effective weapons systems, and it is the right thing for us to never provide these weapons systems on their own, but always in close cooperation," Scholz said.
Germany has tried to tie the supply of Leopards to a wider coalition that would supply other tanks, including US Abrams ā a tank viewed by experts as being less suitable for the war in Ukraine because of its heavy consumption of fuel. Washingtonās reported promise on 24 February to deliver a significant number of its own Abrams tanks appears to have been well received by Ukraine and NATO allies.
I think that this will help a lot in the war I really wish Germany could have been given the go ahead mor early and helped ucrane sooner.Ā
