We are offering free, fast COVID testing for students and staff. The tests are simple, accurate and get fast results - within 15 minutes. See below for more information!

• ¿Quién administra las pruebas? El estado está pagando para que una empresa local tenga profesionales médicos capacitados que administren las pruebas

• ¿Duele? No, no es doloroso. Los estudiantes se limpian la nariz con un hisopo de algodón pequeño durante ~20 segundos. No penetra profundamente en la nariz o los senos paranasales

• ¿Cual Examen? Estamos utilizando la prueba de antígeno Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag, que es muy precisa y da resultados en ~15 minutos. La FDA originalmente los aprobó para usar durante seis meses, pero han extendido la fecha de vencimiento indefinidamente

• Who administers the tests? The state is paying for a local company to have trained medical professionals administer the tests

• Does it hurt? No, it is not painful. Students swab their own nose with a small cotton swab for ~20 seconds. It does not go deep into the nose or sinuses

• How often? Testing will happen on campus every week. If someone tests positive, we will also do follow-up testing if needed

• Cost? There is NO cost. We are able to offer free testing with support from the state (CDPH)

• Results? If your child tests positive, we’ll let you know right away

• Which test? We are using the Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag antigen test, which is highly accurate and gives results in ~15 minutes. The FDA originally approved them to use for six months, but they have extended the expiration date indefinitely
