Location

The Organic Garden is located beside the Maier Museum and behind the restrooms at WildCat Stadium.

This Thrive Space is off the beaten path at Randolph and provides a quiet place located away from the traffic of Rivermont Street. The Organic Garden is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat! This garden begins with a small orchard, which contains fruit trees, and also hosts Randolph's chickens, which provide eggs that are used by the community. The garden has a plethora of different plants, community plots, and includes a small amphibian pond by Kyle May, '22. Randolph encourages students to be involved in the Organic Garden with classes led by the current Sustainability Coordinator, Lindsey Van Zile, as well as through volunteer work from students, faculty and staff, and the Environmental Club. The garden also provides a work-study position for a student to help with the upkeep of the garden.

The Organic Garden is home to Randolph's friendly chickens!

The Organic Garden chickens lay eggs, which can often-times be found in the Randolph Food Pantry located in Moore 107.

The Organic Garden is open to everyone - students are allowed to use the garden to plant fruits and vegetables!

The Amphibian Pond

This pond was a project brought forth by Biology Major Kyle May, '22. Kyle researched the impacts of environmental hardships on amphibians, and was able to create an environment on the Randolph campus to support local species.
