Research which colleges you are considering are NCAA (and which division- as D1, D2 and D3- as there are different requirements for each).
Research NCAA and NAIA requirements. It is the responsibility of the student-athlete to ensure that they are meeting all of the requirements of the NCAA or NAIA.
Follow all processes on the NCAA/ NAIA websites.
Register with the free version of your NCAA/NAIA Eligibility Center Accounts.
Open account in the spring of their 10th-grade year, but can be completed during junior year as well. College coaches are not allowed to speak with potential athletes until their portal is started.
