Meeting Ms. K Pope

Welcome Parents and Students,

I am glad to share this year with you and your children. I believe that we will have an amazing and successful year. It is my top priority to effectively educate children to propel them towards success. Since the beginning of my teaching career eight years ago, I had every desire to ensure that individuals are prepared for the many future endeavors both in their educational and life journeys. I am originally from Clinton, North Carolina. I moved here four years ago to accept the call of becoming a 4th grade teacher.

I graduated from East Carolina University with B.A. in English and earned a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix . I received my first teaching opportunity at the community college level. There, I taught GED courses, and community college General Education courses. Two years later I decided to pursue teaching with public school where I taught 9th through 12th grade English, Theatre, and Journalism. After three years, I decided to return to the community college where I taught English as a Second Language, GED, and performed various administrative activities as assistant to the Director of Continuing Education. I am now entering my 8th year in education and I look forward to every moment that we will experience throughout this year.

Warm regards,

Ms. Pope
