Saif Imad Akoobi Alzabeebee

Associate Professor in Geotechnical Engineering

Department of Roads and Transport Engineering

University of Al-Qadisiyah

Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq

Dr. Saif Alzabeebee did his bachelor study at the University of Al-Qadisiyah, master study at the University of Technology-Iraq and PhD study at the University of Birmingham. Dr. Alzabeebee currently working as Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the Department of Roads and Transport Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah teaching soil mechanics for bachelor students and soil stabilization for master students. Dr. Alzabeebee has also consultancy experience as he worked as a Geotechnical Engineer for Amey plc, UK, where he did geotechnical assessment and design of box culverts, foundations of jacking slab, sheet piles, secant piles, ramps, and buried pipes.

Dr. Alzabeebee has done extensive research work on the response and design of buried structures subjected to static and seismic loads, response and design of machine foundations, assessment of empirical correlations in geotechnical engineering, and soft computing of soil and rock properties, liquefaction induced settlement, and bearing capacity of shallow and deep foundations. Dr. Alzabeebee has written more than 35 articles published in international and national peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Dr. Alzabeebee has about 10 years of experience in research where he is expert in the static and dynamic finite element analysis of soil-structure interaction problems, seismic soil-structure interaction, machine foundations and application of statistical analyses and artificial intelligence in civil engineering.

Dr. Alzabeebee has also done fruitful research collaborations with researchers from University of Technology-Iraq, Al-Nahrain University, University of Sulaimani, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, University of Birmingham, Abertay University, University of Manchester, University of San Marino, and  Curtin University. Dr. Alzabeebee is also happy to collaborate on research topics related to the aforementioned interests. Feel free to contact via email if you are interested.
