Get ready to grow your skills as a writer! So often, when we think of writing, a story comes to mind, but there is so much more to it. Explore different genres of writing in these new and engaging Zoom classes.
You’ll practice writing informational and opinion pieces using the Mystery Writing curriculum—a step-by-step approach that helps you understand how writing works.
We’ll learn how to:
Teach others new information (informative writing) in clear, creative, and organized ways.
5-6 Topic - Investigating Asteroids
Share your opinions and back them with strong evidence.
5-6 Topic - Community Skatepark
Through interactive activities, guided lessons, and creative projects, you’ll build your writing skills and create your own reports and opinion pieces. By the end of the class, you’ll have a collection of your work and the tools to express your ideas with confidence.
Bring your imagination and get ready to write!
*Note - This class has the same format as the Grades 3-4 class, but includes different materials and topics for older writers.
