About me
Greetings! My name is Meghan Matuszak, the art teacher here at Queen of Angels Catholic School! I am so happy to be a part of the Queen of Angel's faculty. I feel extremely blessed to have the ability to nurture your child's creativity, confidence, and self-expression here at QOA. My greatest joy is helping students discover something beautiful about themselves through the creative process. It is an honor and a privilege to have this opportunity.
I hold a Master of Teaching in Visual Art from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Arts from Pennsylvania State University. I've taught in classroom and studio settings for over 15 years in Catholic and Christian schools, art studios, community programs, and museum education. I have worked with students from preschool through high school, including children with special needs. I've led programs in ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography, and STEAM, and even served as Director of Education for arts-based initiatives in Philadelphia. I strive to integrate core values of faith and art history into every art lesson.
I consider my teaching style fun, energetic, creative and compassionate. I believe that each child is a unique creation of God, full of purpose and potential. My goal is for my students to leave my class not only with new artistic abilities but with a deeper sense of their God-given worth and creativity.
