Have a productive and amazing week, everyone!
Thanksgiving Week!
Is it going to be a short week everyone! Take this time to reconnect with family and friends. Rejuvenate your soul as we say goodbye to November and onto the bustle of December and the holidays. Growing up in the Philippines, we didn't have Thanksgiving so the concept is somewhat foreign to me. After talking to several credible people and doing some research, my takeaway from Thanksgiving is the pureness of the first meal the pilgrims and the natives shared. Whether the historical recollection is accurate or not, I would like to believe that these two groups of people gathered together in a spirit of peace and gratitude. As you gather with your friends and families, or strangers, I hope that you take the time to enjoy this Thanksgiving celebration for its pure intentions. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Whooo hoooo! We are now in Week 5 of our quarter, which means we only have 5 weeks left or 22 academic days! Time sure flies when one is having fun 😁 Before I talk about this week's schedule a few important reminders:
1. Submit your timesheets to your homeroom on time every Sunday. 5 weekly winners will be drawn in a raffle for Cool Coupons from Jeremiah's Ice. I've been there, the treats are delish. Please make sure that you log at least 1500 minutes a week- that includes time on Edgenuity and time off such as studying or completing coursework off the computer.
2. Keep on track, stay on pace. Students will NOT be given extensions this quarter so please make sure that you complete all your coursework by December 14, otherwise, all incomplete coursework will receive zero "0" points and will negatively impact your grade. So please look at your Course Report in your respective Edgenuity classes and meet those deadlines. Do not wait until the last week to complete all your coursework. Stay on pace and submit quality work. Should you need help, contact your facilitators, attached is the 2021 Calendar of Activities.
3. Take advantage of QCVA's Academic Incentives- finals exemption OR additional 10% on finals/cumulative exam. Please see the requirements in the flyer attached. You still have time to make appearances or attend live sessions, so please attend. Links to each facilitator's Office Hours Google Meets are in the 2021 Calendar of Activities.
4. In-person Finals are on December 15-17 so mark your calendars. Once again, extensions will NOT be given so be ready to go in-person at Queen Creek Junior High on any of those dates to complete the finals/cumulative exam.
On to our Announcements for the week! I hope you all had a great weekend and ready to tackle this week with renewed spirits 🥰

STAY ON TARGET! Can you believe it? We only have 23 school days left and we will be done with our A courses! So make sure that you are staying on target and putting 110% effort to stay on track.
Use your notes and take your sweet time in taking your quizzes, set a goal to get a passing grade of at least 60% so you can move on. Otherwise, a score of 59% or less will lock the quiz and stop you from progressing further in the course.
When it comes to Unit Tests, take advantage of the unit test Review to prepare you! A passing grade moves you forward. A failing grade stops you from progressing. When this happens, please reach out to your teacher right away so s/he can reset the unit test Review and add another retake for the Unit Test.
Important dates to remember: September 22, A courses end and all coursework must be turned in by then. Otherwise, a “0” zero score will be given for all incomplete coursework.
September 23-24 are in-person Finals. A sign-up will be provided and more information will be sent out before then. Mark your calendars!
