Please note that most of these trips will take place during the week of November 24-28. Therefore, we need to start the process of signing up for trips earlier than in previous years. Please stay tuned for more information regarding the procedure to sign up for these experiences and to make down payments on the trips.

Brief Details: Students will work with the Nepali students at Deurali Primary School to improve their English skills and equip them with learning strategies for the future. They will teach English classes, visit local development projects, have dinner with local families and spend time at a farm. This should be viewed as a working trip and not a vacation. Our students will be expected to be QA ambassadors. It is hoped that this trip will help in the development of the core goals of both QA MUN and the Community and Service Program. As stated in the CAS guide it is the goal of IB school to “create internationally minded people who recognize their common humanity and…help to create a better and more peaceful world.”

Parental Engagement Survey for Mrs Wade's Doctorate.

I would like to ask you to complete a survey for my Doctorate at Bath University. It should not take very long (15-20 minutes max) but is key research for me to finish my doctorate. The focus of my paper is Parental Engagement in Qatar and researching how home culture has a positive impact on academics. The aim of the survey is to find out what are the factors impacting your success. I am also sending a parent survey home to your parents so if you could also encourage your parents to complete it, I would be very grateful.

Although the first page of the survey explains this, please reassure that the answers are not shared with anyone else as individual responses and the only reason I need your school e-mail address is so I can triangulate your responses with those from parents to add validity to answers.

You will be given time in Qatar History to complete the survey this week. Here is the link to the survey.

Thank you for your time and for your feedback.
