Spain Trip

We are pleased to organize a trip to medieval Spain where students will gain insights into Islamic civilization in the Iberian peninsula. The trip includes an array of activities such as visiting the historical sites in Al-Andalus.

The program aims at achieving the following objectives:

1- To improve experiential learning opportunities for the students.

2. To acquire knowledge about Islamic history in medieval Spain.

3. To support the educational and spiritual values of Qatar Academy.

4.-To serve MYP philosophy, the Learner Profile, and ATLs.

Additionally, one of the aims of the trip is to introduce the concept of 'dialogue among Civilizations' by which students can explore the mutual relationships between Islamic and European civilizations. What makes Spain an ideal place to explore these connections is its role of being a bridge between Islamic and European cultures.

The trip will be from Nov 23th -28th

Places are available for the students from G9 to G12.

Total cost: 9,000 QR.

Please contact Mr. Yasser Ibrahim for additional information

Parental Engagement Survey for Mrs Wade's Doctorate.

I would like to ask you to complete a survey for my Doctorate at Bath University. It should not take very long (15-20 minutes max) but is key research for me to finish my doctorate. The focus of my paper is Parental Engagement in Qatar and researching how home culture has a positive impact on academics. The aim of the survey is to find out what are the factors impacting your success. I am also sending a parent survey home to your parents so if you could also encourage your parents to complete it, I would be very grateful.

Although the first page of the survey explains this, please reassure that the answers are not shared with anyone else as individual responses and the only reason I need your school e-mail address is so I can triangulate your responses with those from parents to add validity to answers.

Here is the link to the survey. Thank you for your time and for your feedback.
