Learn to Sail, Prepare to Race, Compete for Fun
PYSF (Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation) has proudly been selected to host the 2019 Chubb U.S. Junior Championship regatta, which is an exciting opportunity for you to support. The Chubb Championships is taking place August 7-11, 2019 in partnership with The Club at Westpoint and Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City, California.
Chubb U.S. Junior Championship regatta is US Sailing’s oldest and most prestigious, merit-based, national youth regatta. This regatta brings the most elite junior sailors in America together, making this event not only an honor to host, but also an opportunity to showcase our community’s hospitality and PYSF’s commitment to excellence to youth sailing. In partnership with The Club at Westpoint and Westpoint Harbor, PYSF seeks to make this event one of the most memorable sailing experiences for juniors, attendees, coaches, officials and spectators, while celebrating the joy of sailing on the Bay.

Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation (PYSF) provides instruction, coaching, practice, and racing opportunities for youth in the San Francisco Bay Area. Some have become top sailors in the US.
Year-round sailing programs provide opportunities for kids to learn to sail and develop sailing skills using Optimists, Flying Juniors, 420s, and Lasers. Sailors are trained to compete in local regattas in preparation for events along the West Coast. Clinics are offered for experienced members and summer camps are a fun way for young beginners to learn to sail, and race, in small boats.
To provide a comprehensive sailing program for all youth in the Bay Area. From learn-to-sail to elite travel teams, our classes stress safety and cultivate the values of character, community and competitiveness. Our program instills lifelong enjoyment and stewardship of our waterways, oceans and world environment.
