Wildcat of the Weeks (WOW) Students

Each week, teachers identify a student as the WOW student of the week.  These students are highlighted for going above and beyond in some area.  Teachers share the reason with the class. Each student gets a certificate, a coupon for a free donut from Donut Chain and has their picture shared in the flyer.   

Note:  If your student has dietary preferences that conflict with donuts, let me know and we have some alternatives.

SBAC Testing - Make Up Week

Students worked very hard completing all of their state testing this week.  Well done!  

We have make up testing this week for students who still have testing to complete.  We expect to be finished this week.

That's a wrap!  Aladdin Jr. Was a Success!

Congratulations and thank you to all of our Aladdin Jr. student cast members!  The show was beautiful and a raging success!  We are so proud of all of our students for being brave and coming together to create something beautiful.  Thank you as well to our PTA, especially Mrs. Peterson for chairing theather this year, for supporting this endeavor and to Mrs. Hoffman for leading the way!

First Grade Planeterium

Sometimes the field trips come to us!  A planeterium assembly came our way including our very own mini travel planeterium.  Students learned about our place in the universe and what we see in the night sky.

2nd Grade Scientists Try to Save the Island!

Students have been learning about erosion and are putting their learning to a test.  Students worked together to create conditions that would protect against wave erosion.  How'd they do?  They'll find out next week!  

6th Grade Data Sets

6th graders created their own data questions they could answer with each other and then created and analyzed dot plots of the data.

4th Grade Field Trip: Mission San Juan Capistrano

Students in fourth grade learn all about California history - including the mission period.  Fourth graders visited Mission San Juan Capistrano and learned more about daily life on the mission, walked the actual grounds of the mission, and even took part in adobe brick making.  Thank you PTA for sponsoring this field trip!
