Choral Music Director Lindsay Parsons-

Ms. Parsons joined Tuffree Staff in 2018 as Choral Director after a two-year venture as a K-6 Choral and General Music Teacher at GGUSD. She is currently the conductor of three choral ensembles at Tuffree Middle School: Vocal Ensemble and Concert Choirs 1 and 2. Additionally, she is a co-director of Tuffree's String Orchestra and conducts the Mixed Choir at Yorba Linda Middle School.

Under the leadership of Ms. Parsons, choral students at Tuffree have had the privilege of representing Tuffree in many local performance opportunities, including Tuffree's 50th Anniversary celebration, Placentia Veterans Day Ceremony, Santiago Canyon College Peace Community Concert, and Angels Choir Night, to name a few.

Ms. Parsons is a graduate from California State University, Fullerton, where she received an undergraduate degree in Piano Pedagogy, as well as a K-12 Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music. During her studies, she participated in many performance opportunities and received several accolades, including recognition for leadership in piano and choral departments. She also placed third in the keyboard category for the Music Associates Student Solo/Concerto Competition and received the Frank Wells Scholarship for Student Teachers.

Outside of teaching duties at PYLUSD, Ms. Parsons currently accompanies for the Intermediate Chorus at Southern California Children's Chorus. Ms. Parsons has also occasionally been a substitute director for SCCC and enjoys seeking other other community-based collaborative music making opportunities, including music ministry at her church. Ms Parsons has also completed Level 1 of pre-certification in Kodaly method, which is a sequential voice-based method of musicianship training that can begin as young as kindergarten.

Ms. Parsons is honored by the opportunity to utilize her expertise to craft an incredible experience for students at Tuffree Choral Music!
