Good morning students!

As I mentioned last week, you have until June 5th to complete all the assignments posted in Google Classroom and SeeSaw activities (from the very beginning).

To earn credit, you need to complete 60% of those assignments.

I will be monitoring your progress on Earn Your Future. If you get locked out of your account, I will get an email (or you can email me) and I will have to reset your account and provide you with a new password.

Please don't wait until the last minute!

Enjoy your week. Stay safe!

Keep in touch!

Friday, May 8th

Hoping you all enjoy a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!!

Good Afternoon Students and Parents,

Unfortunately, I will not be hosting my "Office Hours" tomorrow morning on May 7th. I have a doctor's appointment to take care of.

Thank you for your understanding. If anyone needs assistance, please be sure to email me your questions.

Remember to check your Student and Parent Connect in Q to check on your recorded assignments. If you see something you believe I have missed, again, send me an email with details of your concerns.

I will be back in time for the Leadership ASB meeting at 11:30a.

Greetings Students and Parents!

In Google Classroom you will find a new project to begin. This project will be due in two weeks on May 18th. You will be creating a Google Slides presentation to complete the project. Please review the guidelines and rubric in your classwork tab.

There is a chance I will have to cancel my office hours on Thursday because of a Dr. Appt. - please stay tuned.

I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather and "May the 4th be with YOU!"

April 29, 2020

There are two new assignments in Google Classroom this week.

First is information and the recipe for the macaroni and cheese recipe we normally make in class. I have included a video of me making this at home to demonstrate for students how to make this easy example of macaroni and cheese. Students are encouraged to make this at home (or another pasta recipe) and send me a picture to their SeeSaw account journal.

The second assignment is a chart about how to calculate the cost of making this recipe at home so that you, the consumer, would be able to compare. And, yes, we need to do math sometimes in this class too!

Enjoy!

Greetings once again Students and Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed a nice Spring Break and this finds you well and ready for some new assignments.

This week I will be unavailable on Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately, my Spring Break ended with the passing of my elderly mother. I will be taking care of what I and my siblings need to take care of for her on those days. I'm sorry this will limit my online office hours. However, I will be doing everything I can to keep up on your emails should you need my assistance with assignments..

Also, please recognize and celebrate Earth Day's 50th Anniversary this Wednesday, April 22nd! If we were at school you know I would have had activities all week for you to be aware of and involved in. I will make some suggestions in your classroom assignments so stay tuned.

I'm finding that some students seen to be able to complete assignments flawlessly and others are finding glitches in my links or documents I am attempting to share with you. I will keep trying to improve as we move forward through the end of the year.

Keep checking back here and I'll see you in our Google Classroom!

Best wishes,

Ms. Kaspar

SeeSaw is another program that I would like students to sign into for some assignments. This program creates a portfolio where students can take pictures of their work for me to see. Students need to be signed into my Google classroom before they can access the SeeSaw classroom. I am going to try to explain the process for students to sign into my SeeSaw classrooms here:

  • First be sure you have logged into your class period Google classroom (again, codes are listed in the last post.
  • Create an account at https://web.seesaw.me/
  • Click on the "Sign up free" button and then click on the "I am a Student" button
  • Then sign in using your school Google account
  • Use the code I will post in Google classroom to get into your SeeSaw class.
  • Once you are there you should find our first assignment under ACTIVITIES relating to the Food Truck Entrepreneur Project I sent home with most of you on March 13th.

Good luck and let me know if you are having a problem with any of these steps! We're learning this together!
