Resource Specialist Program 

Welcome!

I have been a teacher in special education for 26 years, dedicated to supporting students’ unique learning needs and helping them thrive. I hold two master’s degrees—one in Clinical Psychology and the other in Education. I also earned my teaching credential and currently serve as a Resource Specialist at La Mariposa Elementary School in Camarillo, the community where I have lived for 57 years.

Beyond the classroom, I am a proud parent of two children—a 19-year-old son and an 18-year-old daughter—both graduates of Camarillo High School who are now attending Ventura College.

In addition to education, athletics is a big part of my life. I am a two-time Ironman finisher and continue to compete in triathlons🏊🚴🏃. I am also passionate about prone paddleboarding and have completed the Catalina Classic, a 32-mile open-ocean🌊 race from Catalina Island to Manhattan Beach.
