Staff who handle SMS communications receive annual training on the requirements of the District of Columbia Data Available Child Act (DCA2), the District's SMS Privacy Policy, data security best practices, and procedures for handling SMS data. Records of staff training are maintained by the District.
9. Record Keeping
The District maintains records of parent/guardian consent for SMS messaging, opt-out requests, and parental rights requests in our Synergy Student Information System (SIS). These records are maintained in accordance with DCA2 requirements.
10. Changes to this Policy
Policy Updates: Palo Verde Elementary District may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on our website (www.pvesd.org).
