Our mission is to promote access for all students to an open-minded and caring, student-centered environment. The student support team guides and develops the social emotional well-being of students on their journey to becoming inclusive and globally-minded learners. We support students through individual and group counseling, classroom lessons, whole school initiatives and presentations, crisis intervention, team meetings with staff and families and clinical connections to the community.

No Name Calling Week

No Name Calling Week focuses on ending name calling and bullying in schools. This week will focus on respect, kindness, and including everyone. On Friday, January 24th, the SADD club will be joining 5th and 6th grade students during Academic Study Classes to discuss bullying, cyberbullying and the importance of being kind to others. Putnam Valley Middle School acknowledges no name calling all year round to create a kind, safe and bully-free community!
