Other Notes about the star test
Once the test has started, students should take the test on their own, without help.
Why Can't I Help My Student? - This test is meant to assess student reading levels which is why we want students to sound out unknown words without help. If they don't know what a word means, I encourage students to use clues in the sentence to try to figure it out. If a question is really tough, I tell students just to make their best guess. Some questions WILL be too tough for them, so just tell them to try their very best.
Timed Test: The questions are timed, so if the clock icon appears at the top of the screen, students can just make their best guess and move on.
Submitting Each Answer: If you don't see a button to submit each answer in the test, you may need to scroll down on the screen (or press and hold CTRL, then hit the " - " key)
