Mrs. Donna Altiser

Elementary Principal at Putnam County R-I Schools

I grew up on a farm in Warsaw, Illinois. My dad is a farmer and my late mother was an elementary teacher for 32 years. I graduated from Warsaw High School and attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois where I earned a degree in Deaf Studies: Teacher Education. I graduated from MacMurray in May of 1998 and began my career here at Putnam County R-I schools in August of 1998. I taught Deaf and hard-of-hearing students here for 10 years. I then served as the Special Education Director for three years. I am now ready to begin my 11th year as the elementary principal. I earned both my Master's Degree and Education Specialist Degree from William Woods University. I love this school and this community and am very thankful my family and I call Putnam County home. I have one daughter, Hadley, who attends Putnam County Middle School.
