The Red Raider Marching Band is optional for any member of the high school band program. The marching band meets mostly during the summer and early fall, for parades and field shows. Concerning parades, the band travels across the state and country, having been to places like Mackinac Island's Lilac Festival; Pasadena, California for the Tournament of Roses parade; Marching through the main street of Disneyland and Disney World; and even playing locally, at places such as Lambeau Field, and Milwaukee Bucks games. Starting after Polka Days, we host a week long band camp, where we introduce new members to the basics of marching on a field, and then begin learning our field show. This field show is then performed during the halftime of home football games. Before halftime, we typically function as a pep band, playing songs during time outs, and the school song after the Raiders score. There are three weeks of lessons at the beginning of the summer to familiarize students with the music we will be using this year.
