Bowling is open to all Pulaski High School students for the opportunity to represent PHS in a fun and competitive sport that’s played worldwide, practice and compete at our home lanes, Village Lanes, in Howard (you are responsible for transportation to and from practices and local meets), compete against area schools (such as Bay Port, Ashwaubenon, De Pere, Green Bay, and more), and learn the fundamentals of bowling and the Baker team format. All levels of bowlers are welcome! The Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin oversees the program. Come and find out why bowling is a sport that lasts a lifetime: nearly 200 high schools in Wisconsin have students participating on a high school team; 250+ colleges offer bowling and nearly half offer scholarships; bowling is the fastest-growing high school sport this decade; the bowling industry provides more than $6 million in scholarships each year.
Attend 90% of matches and practices and maintain passing grades,
Have a good attitude and a desire to be a part of a team, respect your teammates and coaches, show good sportsmanship, respect alley property, no bad language, be ready to bowl when it’s your turn, utilize proper bowling etiquette during practices and matches, clean up after each practice and match, no music during practices, unless approved by Coach, you must attend practices to bowl in meets, and let Coach know if you will not be at practice and if you are not able to be at a meet.
You must wear bowling uniform (Pulaski bowling shirt with, preferably, khaki pants), no tight-fitting clothes or holes in clothes (no leggings), and cell phones must be off and put away (if you are found using your cell phone during a match, Coach will take your phone until after the match). For sectionals and the state tournament, a bowler may only miss two meets to be eligible.
