✅ : SFI Partner - Indicates a partner organization of the Summer Fellowship Internship program. The application period runs January to February of each year.
🔷 : Internships Available - Indicates an organization where unpaid internships are sometimes available to Puget Sound students year-round. You may be eligible to fund your internship through the Puget Sound Internship Grant program. Reach out to Experiential Learning to inquire about these opportunities.
🟡 : Recent Partner - Indicates an organization where Puget Sound students have volunteered or interned recently. Reach out to Experiential Learning to be connected to past student volunteers.
Prison Pet Partnership - A program of the Washington Corrections Center for Women, incarcerated women build grooming, training and other pet care skills for dogs that will one day become service animals therapy dogs, etc. Volunteers are needed for several different tasks to support the care of the dogs in training.
CHEW Dog Rescue - A volunteer organization that rescues abandoned dogs, dogs scheduled for euthanasia, and other dogs in need.
Northwest Spay And Neuter - Provides affordable, high-quality spay and neuter services for pets in the Puget Sound Area.

Tahoma Bird Alliance - Tahoma Bird Alliance depends on volunteers to connect people throughout Pierce County with nature through education, conservation and recreation. Volunteers do activities such as leading field trips and birding walks, serving on committees, advocating for conservation in the community, staffing outreach events and habitat restoration
Emergency Food Network ✅ - EFN's mission is to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry.
Gallucci Learning Garden - Gallucci Learning Garden is a cooperative community garden that donates 50% of what they grow to support food security in the local area.
Pierce County Gleaning Project - Pierce County Gleaning Project utilizes the ancient practice of gleaning, or collecting leftover produce after harvest, and shares the food with food banks, shelters, and anyone in need of food.
