Mission: COPE Health Scholars bridges the gap between education and real-world experience through immersive programs in clinical, administrative, and international settings. Whether you’re exploring healthcare or advancing a career path, their structured learning experiences—enriched with mentorship, leadership training, and professional networking—position you to be a competitive candidate for medical, nursing, or PA school, or to qualify for entry-level roles and training programs in healthcare.

What: Students enroll in a certificate program that involves 200+ hours of volunteering in our local hospitals in a variety of units to ensure students' exposure to different hospital environments. They also offer international healthcare learning opportunities.

Where: MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, 315 M.L.K. Jr Way, Tacoma, WA 98405 (6 min drive) and MultiCare Allenmore Hospital, 1901 S Union Ave, Tacoma, WA 98405 (5 min drive) 

When: Volunteer training sessions take place quarterly. Most students commit to a weekly 4-hour shift, between 6AM and midnight. 

Commitment: ~30 hours of training and 250 hours of volunteering.
