Hello! I am Rina :). I got my bachelor degree at Universidad San Luis Gonzaga de Ica (UNICA), Ica, Perú. Then I joined to the master degree program at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) under the supervision of Dr. Hernan Neciosup where I started being attracted by the beautiful interplay between geometry and algebra. The subject of my master thesis was the study of resolution of singularities on surfaces. After getting my master degree I got an scholarship to join the the PhD program at Instituto de Matemáticas y Ciencias Afines (IMCA) in Perú under the supervision of Dr. Joe Palacios and Dr. Claudia Schoemann where I continued working in algebraic geometry, specially in the exciting topic of algebraic cycles on surfaces which lies in the interaction of intersection theory and Hodge theory. On the Kernel of the Gysin Homomorphism on Chow Groups of Zero Cycles and Applications. During the last year of my PhD studies I got a visiting position at Leibniz University Hannover where I joined Prof. Dr. Stefan Schreieder and Prof. Dr. Matthias Schütt research group, Georg August University of Göttingen where I joined Prof. Dr. Harald Helfgott research group and Bonn University where I joined Prof. Dr. Daniel Huybrechts research group. From January 2024 to February 2024, I stayed at IMPA in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as a Postdoctoral Fellow, hosted by Prof. Dr. Carolina Bhering de Araujo.Currently, I am a part-time lecturer at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) and the Universidad Nacional del Callao (UNAC) both in the mathematics department.I work in Algebraic Geometry. My current research interest lies in the intersection of Algebraic Geometry and Algebraic Number Theory. In particular, I am interested in the study of algebraic cycles on algebraic varieties. Address: Instituto de Matemáticas y Ciencias Afines (IMCA) Lima-Perú.
