Nina Schuyler (she/her) teaches creative writing for Stanford Continuing Studies and The Writing Salon. Her short story collection, In This Ravishing World, won the W.S. Porter Prize and the Prism Prize for Climate Literature and will be published in July 2024. Her novels have won numerous awards and honors: Afterword was named a Top 100 Notable Book by Shelf Unbound and a Top Book by Alta Journal; The Translator won the Next Generation Indie Book Award for General Fiction and was shortlisted for the William Saroyan International Writing Prize; The Painting was shortlisted for the Northern California Book Award. Her nonfiction book, How to Write Stunning Sentences, is a bestseller.
