Weekly Process Improvements
Every week we aim to dedicate time to improving our areas of responsibility by 1%. Often this will mean that some operational tasks that are not urgent will have to be postponed until next week or a later date so we can dedicate time and resources to actually improving something on a weekly basis.
There is always something to improve and it’s easy to fall in the trap of premature optimization, so it’s vital to prioritize the possible improvements based on their value for the business. If we don’t, we are going to drown ourselves and each other in the available improvements that we can spend our time on.
Ask yourself the question: What will give me the biggest increase in creating customer value next week?
