It’s so easy to focus on the losses instead of the wins. While recognizing areas to improve are vital for our success as a team (e.g. doing post-mortems to understand why things went wrong and how we can structurally improve the process going forward), we should not get lost in them and forget the people that are helping us win. This is why we want to make an active effort to thank or compliment each other in the team on something done well every week. This will not only make sure that everyone is regularly encouraged but it will also force us to be thinking of things to be grateful for and recognize a colleague’s contribution in that area.
