Public Allies Cincinnati 2015-2016 / 2016-2017

Victoria is a two-service year Public Allies alum who is still deeply engrained in the Cincinnati nonprofit ecosystem.

She serves as in leadership roles at two organizations, relying deeply on her leadership and teambuilding skills she learned while serving as an Ally.

Tell us about your leadership?

I manage two teams of ten in Hamilton and Butler Counties. I am the third youngest person the entire group and have been able to empower my teams to find their voices, advocate for their programs and constituents and how to get back in touch with the love of what they do.

I believe that when you help everyone see that they have all they need within themselves to be successful the team tends to run on its own...

Because everyone leads.

Which Public Allies core value resonates with you the most and why?

Integrity.

I interpret integrity to be what you do when you will get no accolades and no one will know your name. I do things because they are just and equitable, I believe that is to live with integrity.

Anything else you'd like to share?

I love PA. My career journey is non-existent without the love, support, and training I received from program staff, other allies, and PO managers. I owe this program everything I have. I always said that when I was able, I would give everything I could to PA.

This is my attempt to fulfill that promise.
