I am a consultant, advocate, former public-school educator, and currently Special Education Coordinator with my local school district. I earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science: Pre-Law from Delaware State University (2000). During this time, I interned with the ACLU and was introduced to PA. After completing my term of service, I began an assistantship with Public Allies through the University of Delaware and earned a Masters's degree in Urban Affairs and Public Policy with a concentration in Community Development and Youth Leadership. Additionally, I hold a master’s degree in Education from Wilmington University.

Tell us about your leadership?

I am appointed to the Redding Consortium for Education Equity and the Governor's Advisory Council for Exceptional Citizens (GACEC). My passion for education equity is displayed through my work as a member of Delawareans for Educational Opportunities (DEO), secretary for the Special Education Strategic Planning Advisory Council (SESPAC), and as the former President of the Board of Directors for the Parent Information Center (PIC). My commitment to equitable education is driven by my philosophy to support ALL children in being the best versions of themselves possible. When I'm not advocating, I enjoy creating new adventures with my 11-year-old son who is on the autism spectrum.
