Anthony Bryant was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. Anthony is a Strategist, Public Administration expert, and Social Justice professional with expertise in community building and restorative justice. He works with community centers, nonprofit organizations, and government officials as a public servant developing community engagement strategies and coalitions to help organizations sustain and expand their impact.

Tell us about your leadership?

He has led educational workshops about how the social, cultural, physical, economic, and political factors have shaped the communities of Chicago. He has created diversity and inclusion exercises, presented cultural awareness presentations, and hosted human rights fundraisers. He currently works as the Government Affairs Associate with Metropolitan Family Services. He is currently finishing a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Sustainable Communities at Adler University. He currently helps recruit and fundraise as an Alumni Board member with Public Allies Chicago and Monmouth College. He is a community organizer with the NAACP Southside Branch, Parole Illinois, and the Workers Center for Racial Justice. Over these past few years, he has grown to be a more experienced and mature community leader.

Focus on Assets: I value and appreciate being apart of an organization that recognizes the potential, strength, and natural ability to lead and build a movement for social change.

Anything else you'd like to share?

His studies consist of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology & Anthropology with minors in Peace, Ethics, & Social Justice, Philosophy & Religious Studies, and Political Science. He has conducted researches on Black/African American Students’ Experiences at a Predominately White Liberal Arts College, Transformational Solutions: Peace & Unity Among Black Communities in Chicago, and Building The Bridge: Levels Of Health Literacy & The Access To Quality Healthcare For African American Communities.
