About Me
Where I come from -- Central and Southern Illinois --
-- I experienced all four seasons.
--My friends and family lived on farms.
--I lived in a small town and my back yard looked like this.
--I worked in the fields to earn my own money.
My town had a swimming pool that opened Memorial Day Weekend and closed after Labor Day Weekend. Everyone went there whenever they could. It opened in the morning and closed late in the evening. Night swimming was a blast.
Fall / Autumn Beautiful On my way to college, in the fall, there was a pond that looked like this.

I raked leaves for days and weeks. Ugh...
I Do Not Miss This !
Winters, we did a lot of this...

Blizzards closed roads, and school closed. Yay, then we played in the snow until we froze.
Sledding
Fun going down the hills, but hard walking back up. All those clothes we wore were heavy and carrying a sled while walking up a slippery hill was tiring. We loved it!
Our dogs loved to pull us and to slide down hills with us.
