   • The Whale Child

   • A serious game (in reading group box)

   • A piece of paradise

2. Complete the follow up task for each text

3. Complete the final slide make connections across the texts

Term 1 - Week 1 & 2

• Understand events before, during and after the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi

• Explain how the effects of these events impact us today

SUCCESS CRITERIA: 

• I can draw a timeline of the events that occurred

• I can name and describe 5 main people involved in the signing on the treaty

• I can summarise what the Treaty of Waitangi is about 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Click on the image to access the Treaty of Waitangi site created by a Mrs D from GI primary. 

2. Ensure you read each section carefully working from Before the Treaty --> the creation and signing of the Treaty --> to the implications after the Treaty.

3. Make a copy, file in reading folder, complete and blog with a brief task description each activity on the site.
