research interests
I am a post-doctoral researcher with expertise in immersive virtual reality research, passionate about discovering the nature of experiencing self and others in both virtual and real worlds. My main areas of interest are interpersonal touch, chronic pain, and environmental psychology, seen through cultural psychology lens.
My pain research focuses on disentangling the complicated relationships between the experience of having a (real or virtual) body and chronic pain, with special attention paid to fibromyalgia disorder. I am also interested in combining immersive virtual reality and psychophysiological measurements to capture the fleeting experience of being touched and its affective and behavioural consequences. Moreover, I am engaged in research on virtual pollution perception and behavioural change.
I have the privilege to learn from and collaborate with many excellent researchers from various disciplines and countries.
