At MoDEL, our mission is to improve scientific understanding of obesity and related diseases. To achieve this, we analyse biological data from each step of the metabolic process. By incorporating genetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic information, we gain a comprehensive view of the metabolic process and the variations which may impact individual risk of metabolic diseases.

Understanding complex disease requires representation of populations around the world, especially those generally underrepresented in scientific research. Through our partnerships, we utilize data from diverse populations in the US and the Americas as well as across the South Pacific.
