As an IT Intern at Paris, you will work closely with our IT team to assist with daily operations, support projects, and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of information technology. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in IT who wants to learn and grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues

• Assist with setting up, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment, such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

• Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and installations

• Support the administration of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls

• Conduct routine software updates and patches to ensure optimal system performance

• Assist with maintaining documentation of IT processes, policies, and procedures

• Collaborate with IT team members to gain hands-on experience and knowledge

Internship Location: Clearfield-Jefferson Drug and Alcohol Commission, 480 Jeffers Street, DuBois, PA 15801

Internship Timeframe: 3-4 mos. but will accommodate academic needs of student interested

Internship Description: Setup, distribution, and tracking of all agency technological equipment; Providing “first point of contact” for hardware, software, printer, scanning, and other technology issues to implement solutions; creation, maintenance, and deletion of user accounts for Office 365, printers, phone system, and other software; operation of computer and other business machines, as applicable; assisting administration with any technological requests.

• Assist with lab images for new semester

• Assist with various BIOS upgrades and changes

• Coordinate inventory to be dispersed to Lion Surplus

• Manage walk-ins at HelpDesk

• Answer HelpDesk phone and solve various problems for faculty, staff, and students

• - Toner Changes

• - Printing Problems

• - MS Office Application Questions

•  Assist with various AV steps and tear downs

•  Assist with various phases of inventory control

•  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

•  Installation of VPN client on student owned laptops

•  Rudimentary knowledge of machine security patches and updates

•  Other duties as assigned
