Micah was born in Montana in 1998, but lived most of his life in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He attended NCSSM and graduated from Grove City College in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with minors in Computer Science and Physics. At Grove City College he engaged in research in gallium oxide nanowire production with Dr. Jeffery Wolinski and contributed a Bluetooth control program for an underwater time-of-flight camera prototype completed for his senior design project.
Micah works on directed energy, HPM, and antenna equivalent circuits. He recently was awarded a SMART scholarship with the DoD for 2025 through 2027.
Micah joined CEARL in the summer of 2021 and is working on a PhD in Electrical Engineering with Dr. Douglas H. Werner as his advisor.
Micah’s other hobbies include cooking, reading, games (both board and video), programming, and lifelong learning.
